If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is the place to stay. Our cabin is a fully furnished, 6 year old cabin in the Meadows on Sutherland. It is located in a private setting near all the best attractions. Just walk across the street and you are on the Sutherland beach trail which will lead you down to the southern exposed white sand beaches.
Our cabin has two bedrooms - one with a queen size bed and the other a double. A sunken living room joins the kitchen by way of a bar/breakfast nook. There is also a double pull out couch if needed. All appliances included - fridge, stove, BBQ, propane heat and even a blender. Solar panels backed up by a generator and batteries provide electricity.
There is complete plumbing in the cabin so you can enjoy a hot shower after a beautiful day at the beach, and then retire to the patio to watch a game of horseshoes or bocce. Walk or ride (on the provided bikes) around the island to the North beach - one of the best beaches for gathering fresh shellfish. North Beach is one of the richest clam fisheries in BC.
Other activities include kayaking tours, fishing charters, and there are plenty of mountain biking / hiking trails all over the island. The cabin is on a very "kid friendly" level lot where children can play in an oversized natural sandbox. There is a phone in the cabin (604-483-3317) for incoming calls only and 911 emergencies.
