CedarRidge Cottage is located in the Okanagan-Shuswap region of the British Columbia interior. Situated in the Monashee Mountains, the property offers stunning views of the surrounding Trinity Hills and the Shuswap River valley. Our “backyard” includes the river, a large island and a forested mountain ridge rising up from the riverbank. Directly over the southern ridge is Hidden Lake (great trout fishing) while over the southeastern ridge is Mabel Lake, 42 km long with excellent fishing, boating and paddling.
Sitting at the water’s edge or on the riverside deck, you'll feel completely immersed in BC backcountry. A pair of bald eagles roam the river teaching their year-old offspring to hunt and defend the nest. A deer gives birth to her fawn on the island; within hours the two swim across the river, disappearing into the forest. Early morning offers the chance to watch blue herons take their first flight downstream through the thin mists that hang over the water at daybreak. If you’re especially fortunate, you’ll glimpse one of our local black bears making its way home after a night spent raiding a farmer’s corn field or feasting on the spoils of the late summer salmon run.
Although the setting is postcard BC wilderness, your accommodations offer every convenience and comfort. The home provides three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern kitchen, a living room with great views of the river and a walkout to the upper deck. A family/entertainment room and full laundry complete the amenities. Outdoor living is made comfortable and convenient thanks to a fully furnished gazebo, along with the oversized riverside and upper decks.
The property is located on Mabel Lake Road east of Enderby BC, and is only a two hour drive from Kelowna, 50 minutes from Vernon or Salmon Arm or 90 minutes from Revelstoke. We are a six hour drive from Calgary or a five hour drive from Vancouver.

CedarRidge Cottage offers different booking options which vary by season and time of year. During off-season periods, vacations are available from $225.00 (CAD) per night with a two-night minimum stay. Off-season check-in is available any day of the week. During high-season periods, CedarRidge is available for weekly vacations, priced from $2100.00 CAD per week. Check-in during high-season is available on Sundays only. Check-in times are available between 4PM and 7PM; Check-out time is always 10 AM.

Fishing
A fishing adventure at CedarRidge Cottage can take many forms – big lakes, small lakes, the Shuswap River, an hour with the kids or a few days with lifelong fishing buddies– plenty of options are available. Fish for Dolly Varden, rainbow, lake and brown trout, as well as the various species of salmon which return to the river each fall
Golfing
The Okanagan Valley is home to an tremendous array of golf experiences – everything from world-class resorts catering to low handicappers, to local pitch and putts the whole family can enjoy. CedarRidge Cottage is within a hour’s drive of a dozen excellent courses, ensuring you’ll find just what you need for great golf memories
Hiking
CedarRidge Cottage, located in the heart of BC’s Monashee Mountains, provides for a near endless source of hiking possibilities. Jet Skiing & Boating
CedarRidge Cottage is only 5 km from Mabel Lake, a spectacular 42 km gem tightly bordered by forested and snow-capped mountains. The lake is BC postcard beautiful yet it’s one of the least utilized lakes in the Okanagan. Bring your jet-ski, ski boat or fishing boat, or rent a boat from the Riverside Marina, you’ll have a blast
Kingfisher Interpretive Centre
The Kingfisher Interpretive Centre, 3 km from CedarRidge Cottage, is a community-operated salmon hatchery on the Shuswap River. The centre offers excellent educational programs for children throughout BC as well as on-site programs for visitors. Various events occur throughout the year including the June release of over 200,000 fry and an August BBQ
Mountain Biking
Whether you’re an experienced single-tracker with serious technical game or someone contemplating their first ride on anything but a city street, the hills and mountains at CedarRidge Cottage offer plenty of opportunity to get you and your bike satisfyingly dirty. Paddling
Canoes and kayaks - as Canadianly iconic as hockey sticks and loons. If you have an appreciation for the special serenity found gliding across a quiet mountain lake at sunrise, or cruising a long, meandering river at sunset with eagles, salmon, deer or the occasional black bear for company, you’ll want to dip your paddle in one or several of the lakes and rivers near CedarRidge Cottage

Starlight Drive In
The “biggest movie screen in North America” is located 35 minutes from CedarRidge Cottage. The Starlight Drive-In, just south of Enderby on highway 97A, offers two first-run movies per show and is open from May to early September. Great fun, great atmosphere - a definite must do, especially if the you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing movies under the stars

Water Skiing
CedarRidge Cottage is just 5 minutes from Mabel Lake – a 42 km long mountain waterpark. Bring your big ski boat - the Riverside Marina’s modern boat launch and our oversize circular driveway make parking and launching your boat a breeze. With almost 300 hours of monthly summer sunshine and daytime temperatures in the low to mid 30’s (85 – 95F), our weather is perfect for playing on the lake
Whitewater Paddling
Bonafide BC whitewater adventures are close at hand for guests of CedarRidge Cottage. During the late spring, just 3 km upstream from the house, the mostly pedestrian Shuswap River runs a series of class 2 to 4 rapids through a stretch known as the ‘Chucks’. Guided rafting and kayaking trips are available locally through Shuswap Paddle Adventures

BC is now regarded as one of the world’s finest wine producing regions. Alpine Skiing
At alpine elevations, the Okanagan’s stellar summer weather gives way to a late November winter wonderland. Our premier ski resort, Vernon’s Silverstar, is only a short drive from CedarRidge Cottage, and offers world-class skiing and snowboarding. Annual snowfall averages 23 feet of pristine dry powder - powder which is groomed to perfection on over 100 runs and left untouched for the powder junkies throughout 300 acres of open bowls
Cross Country Skiing
Nordic aficionados will find much to satisfy their cravings during a stay at CedarRidge Cottage. Nearby is the Larch Hills Cross-Country Ski Area with 125 km of groomed trails, 40 km of which are track set. At Vernon’s Silver Star resort, world-class Nordic skiing is available thanks to the resort’s association with the Sovereign Lake Nordic Ski club
Snowmobiling
CedarRidge Cottage is a five to fifteen minute drive from what many believe to be the best snowmobiling in Canada.
